The CyberNodeTMis the first in Concur's family of Cyber Acquisition Systems. The CyberNode combines a data acquisition system, industrial PC, and web server into a small, low cost box, measuring 11.6” x 9.5” x 2.5”. This thin web server makes use of digital signal processing and embedded PC hardware for the specific purpose of supplying and accessing real-time data to and from an intranet or the Internet. The CyberNode functions as an Internet server, storing HTML pages, small Java web programs, Active X controls, and interfaces directly with internet database servers. The CyberNode acquires data from sensors, data acquisition modules, manufacturing equipment, and process control systems. Remote clients can access the data supplied by the CyberNode, viewing it on common Internet web browsers such as Microsoft Internet Explorer or Netscape Navigator. Connection to the Internet or a corporate intranet can be made through the CyberNode's integrated 10BaseT ethernet port or through optional V.34 or ISDN modems. Industry standard PC/104 expansion connectors allow the CyberNode to support a wide variety of additional add-on peripherals, including disk drives, PCMCIA PC cards, LonWorks, CAN or DeviceNet interfaces, and touch screen displays. In addition, the CyberNode comes with a multi-card, stackable DSP I/O module interface. This interface supports Concur's high performance data acquisition modules or custom data acquisition cards directly communicating to the DSP through a programmable 32 bit mezzanine connection.
